I am an abstract artist who explores the synergy between line, colour and form.
I have always loved making art and immersed myself in studying Fine Arts at Melbourne University for 4 years. I then became an art teacher and encouraged developing the creativity of my students for over three decades.
I am now making my own art. I am fascinated by the way that colour impacts mood, emotions and mental states of the artist and the viewer.  I like to take the viewer on a journey through my paintings. I aim to uplift, excite, calm and allow the viewer to interpret my artwork in an individual manner.
I also explore the ways that lines can be used to create three dimensional sculptural pieces from materials such as wire, raffia and natural plant fibres.
I create installations  from found materials combined with weavings which highlight colour, line and form.
I am interested in recycling materials and in using found objects in my sculptures. We need to preserve and take care of our precious planet.
